Atom

This the new Mac Mini that we got to temporarily replace the aging iMac G5, which is now back in repairs for the third consecutive time. We call it “Atom”. Strangely enough, it’s the office’s first Snow Leopard machine.

And of course, the obligatory unboxing:

ABC3D

We just love well-designed books. A few days back, we just got our pre-ordered ABC3D pop-up book shipment from Amazon arrived at our door step. As simple as this book may be (After all, it’s just about the alphabet from A to Z), it is intricately engineered as a very sophisticated pop-up book. Here are some more shots on the book, and a few of its pages:

It’s sad really, that other than our friend Andrew Shu’s wedding invitation, we never see any local pop-up books that are engineered as good as this one. So, come to think of it, this is money well spent.

Here’s a promotional video of the book:

You can find more information about the book at its website.

The Tray

The Tray

We do aim to get some healthier stuff the next time around. Think fresh fruits and fruit punch, fruit pies, fruit… Baby steps, people. Baby steps.

The Jinx

This is somewhat of a peculiar occurence, striking at random delivering, it blows when you least expect it. Luckily, so far none of the other machines in the office have been affected.

It’s all about producing positive vibes, baby. LOL.

Generator

Continuing our quest to have a reliable electricity source because of the scheduled power outages, we finally got the generator installed today.

Generator

Since our office is a relatively small office, this simple Honda-powered generator is more than sufficient to power the whole facility during power outages. It also has a built-in power regulator, although it’s somewhat rather noisy.

Generator

The installation is not perfect, though. We still have some things to consider to permanently locate this generator. But as the time goes, at least should the power is out, we can still do our daily work for at least 8 hours a day with air conditioning.
