Frequently Asked Questions

Please take your time to read our Frequently Asked Questions prior to contacting us.

Do we participate in "free pitches" or give out samples for a project pitch?

No, we don't. We do however, participate in bids and tenders, but we never give out samples of concepts before a contract deal without any exceptions. You can read more about "Free Pitches" here, or our share about the practice here.

How do we work with clients?

Design is a process, therefore we perform our practices with certain methodologies. We don't just make designs that look good, we make you communicate with your target market using designs that we make. For certain people who never worked with a designer before, hiring a design studio for a work commission can be surprising, therefore here is an article on how to work with designers. All we ask is that you're not one of these, or one of these :)

What is our pricing range?

On average, our website design package starts at USD 1,500, our identity design package starts at USD 1,000, and our print design package starts at USD 350. Our pricing is calculated based on your needs, complexity and design or production specifications. Regardless our starting prices, we are always more than happy to try to work within your budget. Please contact us to get a free consultation on making the most of your budget.

What are our payment terms?

On normal cases, we usually ask for a 50% down-payment prior to the project start. But we are flexible enough to negotiate the down-payment amount depending on your circumstances.

How many design concepts do we usually give out?

Since we usually work with corporate clients, we usually give out two design concepts, one is our interpretation of our client's corporate identity and guidelines, and another should the first one does not capture that image. And since design is a process, most of the time, we iterate from the concept that suits your company best. We take the time to understand what our client's corporate image is like. As for iterations, we usually do 2 or three iterations on the selected design concept.

Do we accept interns?

Not at the moment. Our office is a limited space and currently we don't have any spare workstation for an intern.

Do we do Flash-based websites?

Yes and no. Since having a full Flash-based site means that your site can't be indexed by Google, unless you are fully aware of the consequences, we never recommend our clients to have a full Flash-based site, have Flash intros. Flash are good only for ornaments, things that cannot be easily presented using HTML/CSS/JavaScript, or websites for a particular promotional use that require comprehensive animations. Click here or here for some thoughts about it.

Do we support a full Internet Explorer 6.0 compatibility on our website designs?

No. We make designs for better browsers such as Firefox, Camino, Opera, or Safari. Internet Explorer 6.0 has been proven to be a burden to developers since the browser is not web-standards compliant and often render websites differently from other browsers. We believe that standard-compliant browsers are the way of the future. Since September 2008, we have removed support for IE6 and we encourage you to upgrade your browsers to better ones. However if you do need IE6 support, it is always available with a certain fee. If you need more information on why you should stop supporting IE6, click here.

What equipments do we use for our jobs?

Most of our workstations are Macs, simply because Apple is better on getting the job done, and Windows always managed to keep a strain on our backs.
